Nottingham Forest sign West Ham midfielder in shock out-of-window agreement
West Ham remain active in the transfer market even though the summer deadline passed at 7pm on Monday night.
It was an underwhelming summer for the Hammers, who managed to keep Lucas Paqueta but lost Mohammed Kudus to Tottenham.
Graham Potter remained busy on deadline day, signing Brighton’s Igor Julio on a season-long loan to help bolster his defence while both Nayef Aguerd and Emerson Palmieri left West Ham for Marseille.
The Irons are still losing players, though, even with it now being 2 September and the transfer window officially closed until January.

Nottingham Forest to sign Chinaza Nwosu from West Ham
Chinaza Nwosu is now leaving the London Stadium to sign for Nottingham Forest.
Fabrizio Romano reported on Tuesday that the 17-year-old midfielder had been “chased by many top clubs”, but has opted to swap East London for the East Midlands.
It is understood that the documents that take Nwosu to the City Ground will be signed and sealed by the end of play on Tuesday, making him what should be the final departure from West Ham this summer.
Nwosu almost left West Ham last summer, when numerous approaches were made for the England Under-17 sensation.
He was, at one point, on Manchester City’s radar, according to Football Insider.
Mirror journalist John Cross called Nwosu a “big prospect” when West Ham offered him a scholarship deal to stay on at Chadwell Heath.
Unfortunately for the Irons, they’re now losing the teenage starlet to Nottingham Forest – a club going in the direction that they once were not long ago under David Moyes.

What Graham Potter thought about Chinaza Nwosu
It’s very clear that Potter rated Nwosu highly.
During the summer, the teenager was given the opportunity to train with the first-team squad so Potter could keep a close eye on him.
Although his time with the senior side in the summer didn’t result in a first-team call-up, it was no doubt a sign that West Ham wanted to keep the midfield wonderkid, who they describe as having “excellent technical ability and great athleticism” on their official website.
Nottingham Forest have a good academy, so Nwosu will be looked after well there.
Brennan Johnson, Matty Cash, Ryan Yates and Ben Brereton Diaz are some of the recent names to emerge from Forest’s youth set-up.
Nwosu will always be a West Ham boy but he’ll no doubt be eager to join that list of names in the East Midlands.
